It’s summer time in Maine
Sunday, August 8th, 2010 by: Team BaitrunIf you’ve never been to Maine in the summer you have to try it. The weather is great, and you can catch fish that you won’t see in Florida. The water is cold and deep. The breeze is cool and there is something about the smell of the docks that reminds me of home.
We sibiki’d up some macks and headed for the same fishy point we hit every year…for this girl!!! She destroyed a fresh dead, free lined on light tackle. Evan caught this one right after i had one rip the rod out of my hands, and yep — i had to dive in after it. Damn it!! Funny thing was it was still hooked when i found my rod, but not for very long, bummer. One rod retrieved but one pair of sunglasses missing in action.
Big thank you to Captain Johnny and first mate Tommy!!!!

Great to see to see everyone this summer!
Still nailing the stripers.
First mate Tommy caught a keeper yesterday and supplied us with dinner!

Fished Cape Cod and Maine for the last 2 weeks…that’s where you want to be this time of year. It’s where the only “summertime blues” you’ll find are the one’s blitzing off the beach!
